Pop Culture: Good or Bad?

 Pop Culture Pop Culture can refer to a lot of things, the world is filled with it! All sorts of popular shows, movies, and different forms of media. The basis of what fills popular culture can be almost anything, but does that mean that it's good? Are the things that are popular now good for the people that take it in? Story and Its Elements When it comes to the many things that pop culture has, I believe the story and the elements used in it are very, very important. The things done within the stories of popular shows and movies can range, so can their tone. The Literacy of Life

 It's quite interesting to think about how much literacy impacts our day-to-day lives. Being unable to understand words and read them is a skill that would hamper our ability to do normal tasks greatly.  1. The Beginning of my literacy journey I have to say that this will be one of my more boring sections as I can hardly remember the time I first became literate. My memory is quite poor, so I'd have to assume that I became literate through the help of children's television and my general curiosity when outdoors. My family would always bring me wherever they would have to run chores, so I would gain interest and ask what words mean and how to pronounce them. So television and my parents helped feed my curiosity of words at a young age. My family tried their best to make me the best at literacy, attempting to teach me English and Spanish words.  Howdy everyone! My name is Pedro Chavez and I am a Media Arts major! I am a junior in NJCU and have been enjoying my time at the university pretty well! I decided to major in Media Arts as I am a big fan of films and hope to eventually make one myself! I ended up taking this course as I am also a big fan of reading and writing. I spend a lot of my free time reading and writing and when I saw this course, I thought it would help me a lot in the future of my dream career and the hobbies I enjoy partaking in so much!
